CLERK OF COURTS

TITLE DIVISION

The Clerk of Courts' Title Division processes titles for motor vehicles, including automobiles, motorcycles, mobile homes, travel trailers, motor homes, boats, and boat motors, all-terrain vehicles (ATV), off-highway motorcycle, waverunners, and jet skis. We also issue duplicates for lost and stolen titles if originally issued in Washington County and appropriate paper work is completed.

We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards with PIN numbers.  We have voter registration applications.  We process passport applications. Also, we issue hunting and fishing licenses and license watercraft.

We are pleased to be located next door to the Deputy Registrar in Marietta, Ohio and the State Patrol Driver License testing station. This has proven to be an asset for Washington County and a real convenience for the Auto dealers and the residence of Washington County.

For your information: the Deputy Registrar located in Marietta and Belpre are not a part of the Clerk of Courts' Title Division. The Deputy Registrar is a link to the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV). The Deputy Registrar issues License plates.
